Raiders is our programs most physically challenging team. It puts cadets mental and physical strength and abilities to the test. The Cadets are arranged into teams of nine with at least having one female cadet on each team. The teams compete in multipul events these events include a knot tying event, which cadet have to memorize how to tie six different knots. A Rope Bridge event where the cadets construct a rope bridge and each cadet has to cross in the shortest amount of time as possible. We then have a 5k ruck March, each team has to run a five kilometer route while bearing a 20-pound ruck sack. This is a very intense team and is available for all cadets that enroll into the Warrior Battalion. The Cadets do not need to be physically fit to join the team, the team Commander trains them to the peak of their potential as each cadet shows improvement.
Orienteering is a cross country and a land navigation team that focuses heavily on cardio building. Cadets compete in three different events, one is cross country, where cadets have to find a number of points with a map and compass in a certain order. Another event is a relay, where partnerships go out one at a time trying to gain points for their ten person team. The final event is scoring, where cadets are required to find as many points as they can in a certain amount of time, where the points are worth different amounts based on difficulty. The cross country and scoring sections are further divided into two subsections, Novice and Advance. The workouts may be rigorous but the cadets on the team end up becoming a big family.
